History & Impact
Hope DAC & ECCO began more than 50 years ago in Ruthton, MN, in partnership with Pipestone County, originally serving school-age children with disabilities.
Over the decades, we’ve grown and evolved into a vibrant center for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities — providing a place to learn, connect, and thrive. Today, we operate in Tyler, MN, with a satellite location in Tracy, MN, currently serving 37 individuals and supported by a dedicated team of 21 staff members.
Each day brings something new—laughter shared among long-time friends, fresh opportunities to build life and employment skills, and meaningful ways to engage with the community.
Whether it’s volunteering for local events like Tracy’s Boxcar Days, making cards for seniors in care centers, or helping the Lions Club with Soles for Souls, we believe in giving back while building up the people we serve.
What began as a small day activity center has evolved into a vibrant community offering diverse services and employment opportunities tailored to the unique abilities of each person we serve.
Through the decades, our greatest success has been measured not in numbers, but in smiles, confidence gained, and the strong community bonds that continue to flourish every day.
